Terms of Use

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding contract to rent from us. We require a valid government-issued ID to verify renters.

2. Reservations

A reservation is a request to rent the selected items for the dates you choose. Availability is shown in real time but is only secured once your deposit (or full payment) is received and your reservation is confirmed. Unpaid reservations may be released automatically after a short hold.

3. Pricing, deposits & payment

• Prices are shown per day for each item, plus any delivery fee.
• You may pay a 50% deposit to reserve, or pay in full at checkout.
• If you paid a deposit, the remaining balance is due before delivery and can be paid from your reservation page.
• Payments are processed securely by Stripe.

4. Cancellations & refunds

• Cancel 7 or more days before your event for a full refund of your deposit.
• Cancel within 7 daysof your event and we'll provide credit toward a future rental.
• Refunds are issued to your original payment method and may take a few business days to appear.

5. Delivery & pickup

You can choose free in-store pickup, or delivery within our service radius for a flat fee calculated at checkout based on your address. Delivery includes set-up of your rented items. Someone 18 or older must be present to receive a delivery.

6. Identity verification & rental waiver

To complete a reservation you must upload a photo of your government-issued ID and electronically sign our rental waiver (via DocuSign). The waiver describes your responsibilities and our liability limits, and forms part of these terms.

7. Your responsibilities

• Use rented items safely and only for their intended purpose.
• Keep items in good condition and return them in the condition received, normal wear excepted.
• You are responsible for loss of, or damage to, rented items while in your possession, and agree to pay repair or replacement costs.
• Follow all setup, safety, and weather guidance we provide.

8. Assumption of risk & liability

Use of party equipment — including inflatables and games — carries inherent risks. To the fullest extent permitted by law, you assume those risks, and Backyard Shenanigans is not liable for injury, loss, or damage arising from use of the rented items, except where caused by our gross negligence or willful misconduct. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the affected rental.

9. Prohibited use

You may not misuse the website, attempt to access other users' data, interfere with the service, or use rented items in any unlawful or unsafe manner.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
